This is the screen for setting up your It's also the default screen when you enter Driver.
Scroll down, and we'll describe its various parts.

Consist Selection Area
This is the area where you select the locomotive and rolling stock for your
As you click on a name, a picture of that unit appears in the left half of the screen. and the name in the list is highlighted.

If you click on the right arrow, a description of each unit scrolls in from the right as shown below.
Clicking on it again will scroll the list out.

Click the Down or Up arrows, or drag the Scroll Button to scroll the list.

Here, we have scrolled down to the "F7 Santa Fe" locomotive.
When we click once on it, a picture of it appears at the left.

When we click it again, we add it to our consist, and it appears in the consist display at the bottom of the screen.

Note that this consist is Number 0.
If we selected a consist on a previous run, it will still appear here when we opened the screen,
and our new consist would be Number 1.
You can use the up and down arrows to select a previous consist.

You can have many consists in a given run,
but (for now) use the "Clear Consist" button to delete those that you will not use in this run,
(until a future release of Trainz, you will be required to place all your consists on a
if it has enough starting points defined for them).

Note that the "Clear Consist" button only appears when a consist has been defined.

In the consist display, the front of the train is at the left.
As you continue to select units, they will appear to the right of the perviously-selected unit.
Here, we have selected three additional units, using the steps described above.
Consist Display Area
As the consist gets longer, you can use the left and right scroll arrows to move the units to where they can be seen.
If you want to reverse the direction of a given unit, click on it with the right mouse button.
If you want to move a unit within the consist, drag it with the left mouse button, and drop it where you want it.
If you want to remove a given unit from the consist, drag it with the left mouse button above the white line and drop it.
Remember, the left end of the display is considered to be the front of the consist, no matter which way the locomotive is facing.
When you set it on your layout in the next step, you can define which way the entire consist faces.

When you are finished selecting your consist, click the "Terrain" button, to select the layout for your run.
