Michael Boston's Will
I, Michael Boston of the County of Washington in the State of Ohio do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say.

First it is my will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid.

Second I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Rachael Boston in lieu of her dower the plantation on which we now reside situated in the County of Washington to wit, the East half of the South west quarter of Section four in Township four of Range Seven containing eighty acres and fifteen hundredths of an acre also the North West quarter of Section three in township four of Range seven in the district of land subject to sale at Marietta Ohio containing fourty (sic) acres and eighteen hundredths of an acre during the time she remains my widow and all the live stock horses cattle sheep hogs by me now owned and kept thereon. Also all the household furniture and other items no particularly named during the time she remains my widow as aforesaid. She however first disposing of a sufficiency thereof to pay my just debts as aforesaid and at the death or marriage of my said wife all the property hereby devised or bequeazthed to her as aforesaid or so much thereof as may then remain unexpended to my two sons John Boston and Michael Boston and to their heirs and assigns forever.

Third , It is my will that my two sons John Boston and Michael Boston at the death or marriage of their mother shall pay to my five other sons viz George G. Boston, Jacob Boston, Thomas Boston, William Boston and Leander Boston one hundred dollars each. John and Micahel each to pay an equal share and also John Boston and Micahel Boston pay equally alike to my four daughters viz Katharine Boston, Mary Boston, Lavinia Boston and Rachel Elenor Boston fifty dollars each.

And lastly I hereby constitue and appoint my beloved friend Jacob Thomas to be the Executor for this my last will and testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me made and notifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 25th day of December in the year of our Lord 1844. Michael Boston
Signed published and declared by the above named Michael as ?? for his last will and testament in prescense of us who at his request have signed as witnesses to the same.
