Mary Blinderman Snider had a daughter Fannie Blinderman who married Lawrence Kline and moved to Los Angeles, CA.

Meyer and Leona below were children of Isadore Snider and his first wife Rachel born Apr 1878 Russia died when Leona was about 2 years old.

Meyer "Mike" Snider born 5 June 1896 Corastoetz, Britchounhoutin, Bessarabia, Russia died 19 May 1967 El Paso, TX married 3 June 1917 to Mary Kalner. From El Paso Herald Past 20 Feb 1941 - Federal Judge Praises Police Captain As He Becomes U.S. Citizen - Police Captain Mike Snider became a United States citizen today in a 15-minute session during which Federal Judge Boynton praised him for "the commendable service you have rendered to the communtiy, believing you were an Amercian" . Thus ended a strange chaper in the life of the 44-year-old El Paso police official, who until last Dec. 22 believed he was an American citizen. On that date he was told by his father that he was a native born Russian. Standing quietly before Judge Boynton, Captain Snider took the oath which renounced "any other sovereignty" than the United States. He then formally pledged allegiance to the United States. In granting Captain Snider's application for citizenship. Judge Boynton commented: "I am pleased to be presiding at this time." The court also granted the police officer's application to have his Christian name of Mayer changed to Mike, the name by which he has been known to thousands of El Pasoans for many years. Naturalization Examiner H.B. Read, reviewing Captain Snider's case before the court said he had exercised the rights of American citizenship in good faith. He said Mr. Snider had voted since 1918 and that from July, 1918 to Feb 19, 1919 he served to the United States Army. He has served with the Fire and Police Departments of El Paso since 1916. mr. Read told the court. born in russia "Captain Snider has been told since childhood by his father that he was born in the United States, in Minneapolis, Minnesota." Mr. Read said "then last Dec 22 his father told him he was an alien and that he must register under the alien registration act. He did so." Captain Snider, according to an affidavit signed by his father, Isadore Snider, was born on June 5, 1897 in Corastoetz, Britchoun-Houtin, Bessarabia, Russia. When the officer was still a child his father brought the family to the United States and the father later became a naturalized citizen. "I can't say how glad I am that the whole misunderstanding is ironed out now, and that finally I can say that I am an American citizen," Captain Snider said.

Leona (Libby) Snider born 2 April 1900 Minneapolis, MN married Emil Nordhaus.

Mary and Isidora had:
1. Molly Snider born 2 Feb 1904 Minneapolis, MN died 17 Nov 1977 El Paso, TX married/divorced Dick Buffon

5 Dora Blinderman(n) no dates. She had two known sons who came to America, Boris Sherman and Ike Sherman: The following maybe a son or relative of Dora Blinderman Sherman:

Max Sherman born 2 Mar 1874 died 21 June 1896 buried Montefiore Cemetery (Jewish cemetery) at Grand Forks county ND.

6 Max Blinderman stayed in Russia

There may have been a seventh child whose name was Mortel Blinderman. This Mortel was said to have been father of Jennie Steinman who was niece to all the above children of Meyer Boris Blinderman.

1. David and John Blinderman - from Java, SD Diamond Jubliee 1900-1975...
Before Java was established in 1900, a number of small stores and combination
post offices were established in Walworth and Campbell counties. The Blinderman
family, David and John, were homesteaders but also merchants, or peddlers, who
opened stores in their homes. David Blinderman homesteaded the west half of NE
quarter and the south half of NW quarter of Sec. 26 in Blessing Township,
Campbell County, in 1898. For a short time, he and Albert Lang operated a store,
creamery, and post office in Sutley. The creamery was located just north of the
present Leslie Rau farm. In 1900 John sold the land to Simon Eisenbeisz and took
up a claim in Highland District, the north half of NW quarter in Sec. 13. His
brother David had filed a claim in 1898 on 40 acres of the SW quarter of NW
quarter and the west half of NW quarter of Sec. 24 in Highland District. Here he
established the Spiry post office and store on the Spiry homestead north of the
present site of Java. David Blinderman was one of the first merchants in Java,
coming here and establishing a successful mercantile business when the city was
in its infancy. In Dec. 1905 John and his family moved to Zeeland, ND.
On Jan. 5, 1906, a notice appeared in the Java Herald that Edna Blinderman, wife
of David, died at 2 o'clock at the age of 39 years, 7 months and 20 days. The
cause of death was from a complication of diseases. Her body was shipped to
Minneapolis where she was to be buried under the Jewish Rites in the Jewish
cemetery of that city. Dr. Sigmund Rosenthal accompanied the remains. Edna was
born in Grossliebental, South Russia, where she and David were married.
In 1886 they came to the U.S. to New York City, then to MN, and to SD. Mrs.
Blinderman was highly respected. In the Mar. 16, 1907 Java Herald it was
reported that David Blinderman was happily married to Miss Anna Gershin. She was
a sister to L.A. Gershin, who operated a store in Java, until 1941, when he sold
the business to Emanuel Kary. A baby boy was born to the David Blindermans in
1913, and died a few minutes after birth. On May 20, 1926, David's son, Myron
graduated from Java High School. On May 26, 1927, Frieda, born Mar. 10, 1910 in
Minneapolis to David, graduated from Java High School. In the June issue of the
Java Herald it was published that a former Java pioneer businessman had
succumbed after a prolonged illness. Mr. and Mrs. Blinderman left Java several
years before to make their home in Minneapolis as both of them had begun failing
in health and wished to be near their children. He was survived by his wife, who
had taken faithful care of him during his long illness, one son, Myron of
Minneapolis, a daughter, Frieda, Mrs. Leonard M. Besner, of Red Wing, MN, and a
grandson, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

2. I have a note that says Anna Gershin second wife of David was sister of Mrs. A. Gandel.
