AfterwardsJust
a few of the very kind messages I have received |
Dear
Kay, I just wanted to say thank you for organising the
reunion in Matlock yesterday. I enjoyed myself and found out a great deal of
information (especially from Bryan Wildgoose!) I hope everyone else enjoyed
dinner. I'm only sorry that I couldn't have stayed on for longer. Thanks again
for all your hard work. Sue |
Thank you so much for arranging a really enjoyable
get-together! We had a great time, met some very interesting cousins and
forged a few links. Robert has his radio programme ‘item’ sewn up and we have
been able to listen to some of the stories we heard over again – and laugh
again!! We hope you enjoyed yourself, too. Thanks once again, See you in Rhode Island???!!! Ann, Trevor, Rob and Joe |
Thanks
from Pam and I for the arrangements for the excellent event last
weekend. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. We also got a lot
out of it. On the way back we called at the National Memorial Arboretum
near Lichfield and met one of the Wildgooses in the shop and she was saying
how good it was too. Brian

Greetings from "The Isa" I hope that
everyone has a great time. I see that the blizzards are back, if it any
consolation it is stinking hot and humid here at present and I for one have
had enough. Roll on the cooler months at least we don't get snow. I am really
envious of you all gathering together and I look forward to news. Have a
great time. Susan |
Just to
say both Avril and I have just had a brilliant weekend thanks to you two.
Although we didn't get to talk much (we could see you Kay being pulled from
pillar to post) we have met some very interesting and helpful people and
hopefully now we can trace back a little further than my great great grandad.
Once again many thanks. Steve and Avril

Thank you so much for a wonderful evening... it was
brilliant and a credit to you! Edith has been on cloud nine ever since... she
loved meeting everyone and especially having the opportunity to chat with so
many people... especially Brian and his son. Many thanks for all you hard
work and effort. Nicola

Well, wasn't it a good do? I'm sure everyone enjoyed
it. Well one or two folk were on about repeating it! I noticed
most people were into genealogy in a big way, with their ring binders and
rolled up family trees. All in all it was excellent. You done well!

Thanks for a great time and all the effort you put into it. Bryan and Karl |
Thank
you for being such a brilliant host, for all your hard work in organising the
event, and your generosity in sharing your EXTENSIVE research into the
Wildgeese. It was a real pleasure to meet you ………Once again, thank you for a
brilliant time. I loved Matlock Bath, and next time I'll make sure I take my
bathing costume for a dip in that spa pool that I could see steaming from my
bedroom window! Jane

It was good to meet you and a few of the other Wildgoose's on Saturday last. We enjoyed the short time we had with you. We hope the evening was a success. Congratulations on organising the event. Well done. Judy |
Just to
say thanks very much for organising the Reunion. You had obviously put
in a lot of hard work to make the day go so well. Both Geoff and I
enjoyed it very much. It was lovely to meet up with other researchers
and also to see that people had come from so far away. We met up with
some lovely people. The hotel was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed the
evening get-together. Once again, many thanks for organising such a lovely
day. It was great to meet you finally. Sue

What a
wonderful Wildgoose gathering – you did a superb job. Thank you for all your
hard work and making it possible. Charles

Well done! I thought your “reunion” was very well organised, and am sorry that I was unable to stay for dinner….it was very rewarding to meet so many “relatives” and to exchange views and some experiences! It has renewed my interest in the Family and will hopefully produce some more results. Norman

Thanks for organising such a fantastic event. We had
a great time, and met some very nice and very interesting people.
It has been fascinating to find out a little of where we
come from, and we hope at some time you can establish a link between our
family groups. It was really good to see everyone getting on so well,
strangers turning into friends. Thanks again, I can't imagine the amount of
work you must have put in to this, I hope you were able to enjoy it as much
as we did. Mike, Jane, Millie and George
