Thomas Wilson, son of Moses Wilson No. 2, born about 1766, died 1829, Russell County, Kentucky.  According to his will dated January 2, 1829 in Russell County, Ky., he mentions as his wife, Mary Wilson, and his son, Thomas Wilson, as Executors of his estate.  Other children mentioned are Abner, Moses and Rice Wilson.  Thomas and Mary were probably married about 1780.

Nathaniel was also a Baptist preacher, receiving his license in Virginia.  The church here gave him the same authority and privilege.  He was also at times in the early stages of the church found to be at odds with some of the church's regulations and withdrew from the body and united with a separate Baptist organization for a period of time, but in 1819 he returned to the church and confessed his erros, as he called them, and asked to be restored to full fellowship, which the church did and received him again.  Then upon his request for a letter of dismission, it was granted.  He then united with the church known as Stephens Baptist Church in Adair County, Ky. On October 17, 1807, the Pulaski County Surveyor's Office recorded a survey of land made for Nathaniel Wilson on Alligator Fork of Wolf Creek of 300 acres of land by James Hardgrove, Surveyor of Pulaski Co., Ky.  Ebenizer Compton and N. Wilson chain carriers Pulaski Co. Ky. Surveyers Book 1, Page 121.

"Like his father, Nathaniel, he was also a Baptist minister and was called Preacher Moses, and is referred to as that to this day by his descendants.  He was pastor of the church mentioned heretofore from 1840 to 1851 and was also a member during his service as pastor.  He was originally a member of Friendship Church and served as pastor for some time, and several other churches in the immediate area, as well as other business activities.  His great-granddaughter, Ora (Wilson) Perkins, who lived near Russell Springs, Ky., had many of his old papers and records in her possession."

Moses H. Wilson was a widely known Baptist preacher, known as Preacher Mose.  In 1853 and 1856 Moses H. Wilson sold land on Caney Fork Creek in Russell County, Kentucky and in 1856 bought land on Wilsontown Road in Russell County, Kentucky where the family lived.  Descendants continue to own this land.  The 1830 Russell County Census lists two males under 5 years of age.

Notes for SETH WADE, SR.:
According to the family Bible of Hugh Lee Wade, Seth Wade, Sr. was born in Virginia.  Other accounts say Adair County, Kentucky.
The family lived on a 200 acre farm beside Caney Fork Creek, Russell County, Ky in a two story log house with the kitchen some 40 feet away from the main house, as was the custom of that day.  Heating of the home was by fireplaces on both levels. Close by lived the black couple, Pete and Moll, both mentioned in Elizabeth's grandfather Moses Wilson's estate settlement.  Across the valley in front of the home was a Spring which was some one half mile away by the winding path that furnished water for the family's use.
According to family tradition, Seth grew grain which he used to feed his hogs, and then with his sons drove them overland to market in Nashville, TN.
A remembered family story is that one night in 1832 Seth and his father-in-law, Moses Wilson, were watching a deer lick for a bear when a noted meteoric shower occurred.  Upon observing this, they forgot about killing a bear and rushed home to report the bottom had fallen out of heaven.
History records the night of this event as "The night the stars fell"  November 14, 1833.

David Carson Hopper was appointed a member of the building committee in 1897 of the Clear Fork Baptist Church, and continued active church work through life.  He was an Adult Bible Class teacher for 46 years.  He was instrumental in organizing the Russell County Association of Missionary Baptists in 1915, and served as Moderator for 10 years.  His occupational life was varied, including: teaching school, farming, postmaster, timber buyer, and sawmill operator.  He represented Russell and Casey counties in the Kentucky Legislature for one term, and late in life was Police Judge in Russell Springs, Kentucky.
