Mary Florence Beck is my Grandmother.
The Beck Family migrated from South Carolina and settled in Covington County Alabama. There were many Beck's
in this county. Some of them migrated through Georgia. Jesse Beck settled in Covington County Alabama in the 1830's.
In 1855, Andrew Madison Lowery and his family migrated from Macon County AL to Covington County AL. Wesley Mathis
and his family also migrated from Macon county to Covington county in the same time frame. They all settled near each
other. This occurance set a pattern of migration for all three families and their descendants..
This effort is presently in the process of combining the work of four researchers. It will be updated when this is assomplished.
