About the Compiler

Hi. My name is Barb Wise and I live just outside of Dallas, Texas. My parents grew up in rural Orange and Crawford Counties and our family spent many summers and holidays there over the years. My dad and I have taken up the hobby of documenting our family history and it is something we both enjoy.

Working on my family history is a sporadic event. My husband and I both work full-time, so many of our visits back home don't leave time to do much research. However, I do try to get get to the courthouse at least twice a year to spend the day scanning images to post here for other researchers with Orange County roots. I hope you find this index helpful and appreciate your patience as I complete the task.
