Nurse Pauline Waring HERRICK a member of the YMCA Relief Commission was stationed in Paris and Brest, France in 1918-19. Hometown: Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
Sergeant Alvin C. YORK, Company "G," 328th Infantry, 82d Division, A. E. F., who fought in World War I (WWI) and became its greatest hero: "AN UNPARALLELED HERO: The Church Elder and Champion Turkey-Shooter Who Killed 25 Germans and Captured a Machine Gun Battalion." Hometown: Pall Mall, Fentress County, Tennessee.
Private Jake Harris ATKINSON, Company "A," 112th Engineers, 37th Infantry Division, A. E. F., lived to tell his war stories. Hometown: Ozark, Dale County, Alabama.
Corporal Raymond WRIGHT, Company "B," 5th Machine Gun Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division, A. E. F., Killed in Action on November 4, 1918 apparently in the Meuse-Argonne Operation. I purchased 2 photos of him on eBay and I am researching him. Hometown: Fairview, Marion County, West Virginia.
