In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Flock als Flook of Evington in the pish of the Lye als Leigh in the County of Gloucr widow being in prest good health of body and of sound mind and good understanding thankes be to God but considering my age and the frailty of this life do hereby therefore make my last will and testamt in manner and forme following First and above all things I give and bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my maker hoping and trusting through the merits death and passion of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to have remission of all my sins and eternall life with him in the kingdom of heaven my body I commit to the earth from whence it came to be decently interred at the discretion of my Executors herein after named And as for such worldly Estate God has blessed me with I give and dispose thereof as followeth Itm I give and bequeath to the poor people of Evington aforesaid but not such as have and receive Almes and relief out of the poors booke from time to time for ever the yearly sume of twenty shillings to be issuing and payable yearly upon Christmas day out of all my messuages landes tenemts and hereditamts whatsoever lying and being in Evington the Lye als Leigh aforesaid Elmstones Hardwick and Boddington or some of them in the said County of Gloucr And I do hereby order and direct that the same moneys shall be paid and distributed yearly forever on the said day in the pish Church or Churchyard of the Lye als Leigh aforesaid by such shares and proportions as the owner of the lands so charged therewith and are hereby made lyable to the payment thereof and the Churchwardens of the Lye als Leigh aforesaid for the time being shall thinke most proper and fit to have and receive the same Charity And if the owner of the lands charged with the payment of the twenty shillings shall at any time make default in payment thereof or any part thereof then my will is that such owner or proprietor of such lands shall forfeit loose and pay ten shillings to and for the use of the poor of Evington only as shall not receive almes from the pish for each and every time default shall be made in payment of the twenty shillings or any part thereof Itm I give and bequeath to my nephew Flock Kenrick All my messuages lands tenants meadowes leasowes pasture grounds and heriditamts whatsoever with the apptences lying situate and being in Evington Lye als Leigh Elmstones Hardwick and Boddington aforesaid or any or either of them or elsewhere in the County of Gloucr To have and to hold the same to the said Flock Kenrick and the heires of his body and for want of such issue I give and bequeath the same messuages lands and tenants to my nephew Samuell Kenrick and the heires of his body lawfully begotten charged and chargeable with my debts and the Annuity aforesaid to the poore and for want of and in default of such issue of Samuell Kenrick then I give devise and bequeath all my messuages lands tenants and heriditamts aforesaid with the apptences unto my nephew Samuell Powell and the heires of his body charged and chargeable with my debts and the Annuity to the poor aforesaid and for want of such issue I give and bequeath the same messuages lands and tenantss to my Godson Joseph White the younger son of my tenant Joseph White and his heires chargeable with my debts and the Annuity afore given to the poor And as for such houses messuages or tenants which I lately bought of my said nephew Samuell Powell situat lying and being in St Johns Parish within the Citty of Gloucr my will is that if the same be not sold in my life time that then I give and bequeath the same messuages houses and tenants that I have in St Johns Pish aforesaid or elsewhere in the said Citty to my said nephew Flock Kenrick and the heires of his body and for want of such issue I give the same houses messuages and tenants to my said nephew Samuell Kenrick & the heires of his body and for want of such issue I give and devise the same houses messuages and tenants to said nephew Samuell Powell and the heires of his body and for want of such issue I give the same messuages houses and tenants to my Godson Joseph White and his heires And all my plate rings money goods chattells and psonall Estate whatsoever I give devise and bequeath to my said nephew Flock Kenrick whom I make ordaine and appoint Executor hereof and I do revoke all former wills by me at any time heretofore made In witnesse whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal this thirtieth day of January in the Eleventh year of the reigne of king George &c Anno Dni 1724
