In the Name of God Amen The Eighth day of may In the yeare of our Lord 1700.  I Ferdinando Fluck of ye parish of Westbury in y^e County of Glouc^r Being weak in body but of good and perfect memory (praised be god for it) Doe make and Ordaine this my last will & Testam^t in maner & forme foll. (That is to Say) First I bequeath my Soule into the mercyfull hands of Allmighty god my maker hopeing through the mercy of my heavenly father and y^e meritts of my blessed Saviour Jesus Christ to obtaine the forgiveness of my Sins and Eternall Salvation And for my body to be buryed in Christian Buriall expecting a glorious Resurrection thereof.  And as touching y^e disposall of such worldly Estate as god in mercy hath lent me.  I order and dispose of it in following manner, that is to say Imp^rs I give and bequeath unto Jane my Loving wife and to the child that she now travaileth w^th all my Corne Cattle Household Stuffe Implemen^ts of husbandry and goodes of any kind whatsoever to be Equally divided betwixt them.  And in case my sd wife shall Chance to dye in Childbed Leaving a son or daughter behind her, then I give all my said goodes and stocke to my said Child be it Son or daughter. And that y^e greater Care may be taken of my said Infant in case its mother dyes I doe Request and desire and by this my will Order and Appoint my Loving friends Joseph Cadle of Poultons Hill my unkle James Harper and my brother John Flucke guardians Overseers & Trustees for my said Child.  And if it shall please god that my said wife and Child shall both dye in Some short time after my decease and before this my will is proved then and in such case I give and bequeath to my brother Thomas Fluck and to my Sister Anne three pounds a piece. And in case my said Child shall dye and my wife live then my will is that my said wife Shall pay unto my said brother Thomas and my Sister Twenty Shillings a peece within a yeare after my decease. Item in case my sd wife and Child shall happen to dye soone after my decease and before my will is proved as aforesd the I give and bequeath unto my god-daughter Elizabeth the daughter of my brother John Flucke the Sum of tenne Shillings And to my father in law George Lodge the Sum of one shill.  Item upon the death of my wife and Child as aforesaid I give unto my mother in Law Mary Lodge the Sum of Five Shill.  Item I give and bequeath to my Sister in Law Mary Lodge the Sum of Five Shill. In the like Case.  All the Rest and overplus of my goodes and stocke of Corne and Cattle not before given and bequeathed I give and dispose of (In case my said wife and Child shall happen to dye as in the aforesaid manner) unto my father Arnold Flucke and to my sister Elizabeth and to the Rest of my Brothers not before mencioned to be Equally divided betwixt them. Lastly I doe hereby make my said Loving wife Executrix of this my last will and Testament to pay my depts and to see my funerall Expenses discharged and to See this my will proved according to Law and after the Deduction of Such Charges I give Allot and Appoint halfe my goodes Corne and Cattle to the use of my said Child to be ordered and managed by my said Loving friends Joseph Cadle James Harper and John Fluck (whom I doe hereby make Trustees and Overseers of this my last will and Testament) According to their discretion for the best benefit and Advantage of my said Child.
