In the Name of God Amen: I Nicholas Hutton the elder of Forthampton in the Countie of Gloucr yoman being aged and but weak in bodie but Thanks be to God in good and pfect memorie, and knowing that all men must dye, and that nothing is more certaine then the time of death doe therefore make and ordaine this my last will and Testamt in maner and forme as followeth: First I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Almightie God my Creator, hoping to be saved by the Merits & Mediation of my Redeemer Jesus Christ to be receaved to him in Glorie to life everlasting, and my bodie to the Earth to be decently buried acording to the discretion of my wife and my Executor hereafter named; And for my worldly Goods wch God in mercie hath lent mee, I doe give and dispose of them as followeth: Item I doe give unto the Three daughters of my Brother John Hutton the summe of Fifteen pounds, to be equally divided amongst them or the Survivor of them, Item I doe give unto my Kinswoman Anne the wife of John Maile the somme of Twentie pounds: Item I doe give unto Mary and John the two children of my Kinsman Nicholas Hutton the summe of One hundred pounds (that is to say) To Mary Fortie pounds, and to John Sixtie pounds, to be payd to them, as they shall severally accomplish the age of Twentie and one yeares: Item I give unto Mary my wife the furnishing of her Chamber, with two bedds and all things thereto belonging, to be at her owne dispose as shee shall think fit; I doe alsoe give unto my said wife all the rest of my houshold goods for and during the terme of her life, and then to remaine to my Executor hereafter named; As for all the rest of my goods catels and chatels moveable and unmoveable as money stock bills bonds mortgages and all manner of profits whatsoever I doe give and bequeath unto my kinsman Nicholas Hutton, whome I doe make and ordaine my lawfull Executor of this my last Will and Testamt to see my debts payd, my funerall expences discharged, And I doe appoint the summe of Twenty pounds for the due performance thereof, and to see this my last will performed. And I doe herby revoke all former wills whatsoever.
