Thomas Hatton of Chasely, gent

 

In the name of God Amen The fifteenth day of March 1677 I Thomas Hatton of Chasely in the County of Worcester gent being sicke of Body But of perfect mind and memory (Thanks be to God) die constitute ordeine and appoint this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and forme following First and principally I commend my soule into the hands of Almighty God My Body to the Earth And my worldly Estate I bequeath as followeth Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Brother Henry Hatton the summe of one pound to buy him a Ring And to the Children of my said Brother Henry Hatton Begotten of the Body of the daughter of Thomas Hale late of Tewkesbury the summe of Forty pounds to be equally divided amongst them Item I give and bequeath to my sister Sarah Lovering the summe of Twenty pounds Item I give tho my sister Susannah Berkley the summe of Tenn pounds I give to my sister Anne Mathews the summe of one pound Tenn shillings Item I give to my Cousin Thomas Hatton late of Lipiatt the summe of Tenn pounds Item I give to my Cousin Samuell Hatton All my Estate in Virginia both Reall and Personall Item I give to the Four Children of my Cousin Phillip Hayward (vide) Thomas Hayward Mary Hayward Phillipa Hayward and Elizabeth Hayward the summe of Two hundred pounds to be equally divided amongst them Item I give to my Cousin Elizabeth Packer the summe of one pound Tenn shillings to buy her a Ringe Item I give to my Cousin Mary Sturmy the summe of one pound Tenn shillings to buy her a Ringe All which aforesaid Legacies my will and meaning is That they shall not be paid untill Two yeares after my decease by my Executors Item I give and bequeath unto my Cousin Robert Newman All that my deads yeare due upon the Estate he lives in upon Condicion that he dischargeth the Herriotts due att my decease for the same Estate And if soe be that he shall not discharge the Herriotts Then my will and meaninge is my Executors shall have the deads yeare in discharge of the same Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Cousin William Hayward of Quedgly All that my Capitall Messuage or Tenement wherein I now dwelleth Commonly called  the Wearth or by what other name or names the same is called or knowne Together with the Houses outhouses buildings barnes stables Gardens orchards Backsides with all meadows Leasowes pasture grounds Arable Land and whatsoever ground or Grounds Belonging to the same with all other its appurtenances whatsoever situate lying and being in the parish of Chattesley als Chasely in the County of Worcester Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Cousin William Hayward of Quedgly aforesaid All that my Meadowe or pasture ground situate lying and being in the parish of Ashchurche in the County of Gloster Commonly called or knowne by the name of Soldernes Mead Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Cousin William Hayward aforesaid All that meadow or pasture ground which I lately bought of James Ricke[?] situate lying and being in the parish of Chasely in the County of Worcester Item I give devise and bequeath unto my Cousin William Hayward aforesaid All that my two pieces of Arable lying in the Oldbury in Tewksbury now in the Tenure or occupacion of Mr Henry Dobbins And alsoe all other my Estate of inheritance whatsoever not before by these presents bequeathed To have and to hold the afore mencioned Capitall Messuage Lands and Premises and all other the afore mencioned premisses with all their appurtenances unto the aforesaid William Hayward his hares and assignes forever And to and fore noe other use intent or purpose whatsoever Lastly All the Rest of my Estate goods Chattles Household stuffe debts Leases and moneys whatsoever after my debts and Funerall Charges shalbe discharged I give and bequeath unto my Cousin William Hayward whom I make the sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament And doe hereby revoake all other wills whatsoever declaring this to be my last will and Testament In witnes whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seale the day and yeare above written Thomas Hatton Signed sealed published and declared to be the Last Will and Testament of the Testator in the presence of us John Terrett signum - Edward Cowdale sign - Willm Morris
