Genealogy is a combination of people, dates, places and events. As family historians we spend a great deal of time searching for these pieces in attempt to fit them together in order to have a complete history.

As we research our families we become drawn in, involved with the progression of their lives so that we become part of the people we are researching.

We feel we know them, we can call them by name, the names of their spouse and children, repeat their birth dates, and can usually tell you when and where they lived. They are ours, our past and yet oddly at the same time, they are also our present, because as long as we remember them, they are always alive.

There is a feeling of timelessness sometimes when we are researching a family from the past, so much so that we sometimes avoid the details of their death. This is natural I think, a desire to keep them with us always. To hold on and not let go, because once we do, we feel like we've come to the end of something and it leaves in us a lost feeling, a finality that they are gone forever.

In order to avoid the pain and sorrow of loosing someone we tend to not talk about the event called death. The details are often hazy, blurred & it can leave the impression of a smudge in an otherwise detailed life story.

I made these pages with a special purpose, to honor & remember those loved ones that have passed on.

I have just started working on these pages and they are in the beginning stages. I ask for your patience with them please.

I also ask for a little extra thought and consideration for the contacts listed on these pages. Loosing a family member or a loved one is a painful part of all our lives and though time may pass, a little of the pain is always there. Please keep in mind if you wish to contact someone about any information here that it may be a painful memory.

The Twenty-Third Psalm

The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside the still water.
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths
of righteousness for His name's sake.
Yea though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death, I will fear no evil:
for thou art with me, thy rod and
they staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow
me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
