States of Heritage

The purpose behind these pages is to give me a place to share my other favorite hobby, history. In my humble opinion genealogy without history is like a book with no pages, you have a cover, but there's nothing inside. If you've been kind enough to visit my other pages then you know by now my goal is to put some dimension into genealogy or at least to my little corner of the genealogy world.

History was my first love and once upon a time I thought myself brave enough to consider teaching, but I decided to leave that to other more wonderful and patient people like my sister in law, Sharyn and the most recent addition to our family, my new daughter-in-law, Heather :) She made the trip with us in Aug. 2000 and shows promise of being a future genealogy addict ;)

To say that this page is under construction is a considerable understatement, as history begins anew with every tick of the clock. Sometimes events in our states and country, past and present, will be addressed here, but only in reference to genealogy and historical fact and fiction. I will never post anything with the intention to offend anyone about anything, but there has been and will be events in the history of our Country and individual states that may be of delicate nature. In the event that something does offend someone, I apologize now, because as I said it was never intended, the views and habits of my ancestors don't necessarily echo my own.

As with my other pages, if you find anything of use to you here, GREAT! WONDERFUL! If you don't, please keep checking back, hopefully that will someday change. If you'd like to add anything, please email me, the more the merrier :)
