20. Allen Wright⁵ Bond (James B.⁴, Allen Sr.³, Wright², ¹) was born in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL February 4, 1831. Allen died about 1900 in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL. His body was interred about 1900 in Shields, Jeff., Il., Bond Farm Cem.

He married Viola Meador in Jefferson Co.,IL, April 8, 1856.(83) Viola was born in IL 1840. She was the daughter of Ambrose Meador. Viola died 1893 in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL. According to census records: In 1860 Jefferson Co., Il. census he is 29, born in Il., and living with his wife, Viola, Son James A., and Sarah C., his daughter. In 1870 Jefferson Co., Il. census he is 49, with 8 children and his wife present. From Dennis Johnson's notes: NATIONAL ARCHIVES TRUST FUND, WASHINGTON, DC - In reviewing the material on JAMES B. BOND, PRIVATE, SON OF ALLEN BOND AND FATHER OF ALLEN WRIGHT BOND, it is learned the date of Allen Wright Bonds birth and the location of the birth being in the home of Allen Bond, Sr. It is further learned the fact that ALLEN WRIGHT BOND is the 2nd child. That he had an older sister, ELIZABETH. In this material we learned that his mother is MARY ANN HOLT BOND BOYKIN.

Allen Wright Bond and Viola Meador had the following children:

24 i. James A.⁶ Bond was born in Shield, Jeff., Il. March 1857. James died 1914. His body was interred 1914 in Shields, Jeff., Il., Bond Farm Cem. He married twice. He married Artie Holloway in Jefferson Co., IL., December 10, 1894.(84) He married an unknown person in Jefferson Co., Il, September 20, 1898.

25 ii. Sarah C. Bond was born in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL August 30, 1859. Sarah died October 29, 1921 in Jefferson Co., IL., at 62 years of age. Her body was interred after October 29, 1921 in Shields, Jeff., Il., Wells Chapel. She married Charles Johnson in Jefferson Co., Il, April 12, 1885. Charles was born in Sweden January 2, 1848. He was the son of John. Charles died March 12, 1910 in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL, at 62 years of age. His body was interred after March 12, 1910 in Shields, Jeff. Co., IL., Wells Chapel. 26 iii. Mary E. Bond was born in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL 1862. She married Matthew B. E. Wells in Jefferson Co., Il, August 1, 1882.(85) \i0 Matthew Wells was elected Sheriff of Marion County, IL. for at least one term. He was the administrator of Allen Sr. Bond's estate. Matthew Barney E. Wells married Allen Sr. Bond's great grand-daughter, Mary E. Bond. Since Allen Sr. died in 1862, the year his great-granddaughter Mary was born, Barney Wells must have been quite a bit older than his wife.

27 iv. Jesse G. Bond was born in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL October 29, 1865. Jesse died April 9, 1947 at 81 years of age. His body was interred after April 1947 in Probably Wells Chapel. He married twice. He married Laura B. Holloway in Jefferson Co., IL., December 5, 1891.(86) She married Jesse G. Bond in Jefferson Co., Il, September 20, 1898.⁽⁸⁷⁾ He married Laura B. Holloway in Jefferson Co., Il, September 20, 1898.(88) She married Jesse G. Bond in Jefferson Co., IL., December 5, 1891.⁽⁸⁹⁾ The Illinois Marriages webpage gives Jesse D. as marrying Laura B. Holloway on December 5, 1891 in Jefferson County, Illinois. But in 1898 Jesse G. marries a Mrs. Laura B. Bond, in Jefferson County. It looks to me like Jesse & Laura divorced and then re-married.

28 v. Rosemaria (Rosana F.) Bond was born in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL 1868. Rosemaria died before 1880.

29 vi. Charles N Bond was born in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL September 1869. Charles died May 31, 1903. His body was interred June 1903 in Shields, Jeff., Il., Bond Farm Cem.

30 vii. Alfred Wright Bond was born in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL 1872. Alfred died August 8, 1922. His body was interred August 19, 1922 in Shields, Jeff., Il., Wells Chapel. He married Rosa Donoho in Jefferson Co., IL., October 6, 1898.(90)

31 viii. Caroline Belle Bond was born in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL March 8, 1874. Caroline died October 26, 1928 in Rochelle, Ogle, Il., at 54 years of age. Her body was interred October 28, 1928 in Rochelle, Ogle, Il.. She married George Holloway in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL, October 29, 1893.(91) Caroline Belle Bond's name is given as Carrie I. (Isabell?) Bond on her marriage entry.

32 ix. Richard Bond was born in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL 1879.

33 x. Lydia M. Bond was born in Shields, Jefferson Co.,IL after 1879. Her body was interred in Shields, Jeff., Il., Bond Farm Cem.
