GRANDMA WAS SPECIAL
Grandma's gone home to be with her Lord,
She's cradled in his loving arms,
She's happy and safe and protected
Away from this world's alarms.
Those of us who remain behind
Have lost a lot, you know,
A godly woman of style and charm
Whose specialness always showed.
Grandma was always a lady
Full of kindness and grace
Each time you came to see her
You'd see a smile on her face.
Her love was never-ending,
No matter the circumstance.
Whatever happened, whatever you did -
Would you lose her love? - not a chance!
Grandma was always willing
To help a friend in need
She followed her Lord's example
In helping by word or deed.
She'd quietly listen to all you'd say
And think and pray it through
And would offer advice if you asked for it
That would always be right for you.
Grandma had the ear of God,
Each of her grandchildren say,
If you ever wanted to be sure God heard
You'd just ask Grandma to pray.
Grandma, you've got big shoes to fill -
We all know that is true -
And someday I hope my grandchildren say
I turned out just like you.
Grandma we love you and miss you!
