Genealogy, a Bay's View

,

I am working on updating my website this summer. I realize it's been long-neglected
and am trying to rectify that situation. It may take the rest of the summer to do so,
but hopefully by the end of August, or before schools starts again,
the new (and hopefully improved) pages and additions will be uploaded.

(To prevent against automatic SPAM, please remove the NOSPAM from the addy before you hit "Send" on your email.  Plus, you'll have to cut and paste the addy....Sorry about this, but I had just changed the addy, with the link included, and 24 hours later I got SPAMMED with this addy. *sigh*...Thanks! :-)
Welcome to
"A Bay's View"...

...my view of that is, of genealogy. "Bay"is my maiden name, given to me by my father, and handed down through the generations by a strong, proud people.  A sampling of the surnames from my father's side of the family include:

Abel/Abell, Allen, Bassett, Brecht, Chase, Chipman, Davis, Edmonds, Hine, Howland, Huckins, Kerstetter, Mayhew, Mitchel, Olds, Partridge, Ritzman, Roush, Strauss, Stupp, Taylor, Tenney, Tilley, Zerbe, and many more. See the Index of Surname at the left for complete listings.

My mother's side hosts fewer names as the family is fairly 'new' to America, arriving in the late 1800s to just after 1900:

Edelman, Fleishhauer, Groenert, Ludwigs, Otto, and Tholen.

Complete Index of Surnames:
There are 2898 individuals and 1069 families representing 810 surnames...
 The Irish Side
Check out my husband's side of the family too -- with Surnames that include:

Gilligan, Huddle, McNew, Phillippe, and many more...

Also on these pages:
A 'little' bit of Irish with the story of St. Patrick's Day
The legend of Leprechauns
