Dear Mrs. White,
Probably I'll never answer another letter so promptly, but I arrived eary for a meeting.
Enclosed are copies of the most pertinent Brokaw - Duryea records. Obviously, the people who in 1706 copied the damaged original records, did not take as much care as I did in cross checkingh all the spelling variants, but I felt it best to adhere to the manuscript.
I have not located either Moucron or Resterne "In the low country" but at that time the region referred to was along the Belgian-French border west of Lille - ought to be right near Armentieres.
We have never successfully sorted out Le Fevres. Brothers Andre and Simon of New Paltz would have been too old for baptism, too young to be god parents or witnesses. Lot's of theorizing has been done to connect them with Issac Le Fevre 1659 who married Catherine Ferree, no proof. there are some 250 Le Fevre (and variants) entries in my Mannheim records and we aren't really sure whether they (Andre & Simon) ever lived in Mannheim.
Sorry, couldn't possibly copy that many. However, I hope this is of help.
Yours truly Ruth P. Heidgerd
