Classes' of 1946, 47 & 48

This school class photo of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd grades at Encinal Elementry School, Live Oak, California School District was taken during the 1940/41 school year. My cousin Olen Brokaw and I were in the 2nd grade, Olen is on the left end of the back row, that's me standing next to him on the right, the cute one! (Olen's wife Darlyne feels differently about that).

Olen's brother Freddie who was in the 1st grade is in the middle row directly in front of us and his sister Faye, in the 3rd grade, is also in the middle row fourth from the left.

It is almost a family photo as nearly one quarter of the students (six out of the twenty seven) are related. In the front row are my second cousins, Betty Lou Taylor,1st grade, second from the left and Pauline Taylor, 3rd grade, fourth from the right.
