Arthur, as he was known, was born 22 Feb 1882 near Memphis, Missouri. He died 19 Feb 1959 -- just 3 days short of his 77th birthday -- in La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois. He is buried at La Harpe Cemetery, La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois.
