On 17 Sep 1932, she married John Samuel Rutherford in Greentown, Howard, Indiana. Sandy, as he was known, is the son of George Washington Rutherford and Sara Packett Graves. He was born 20 Jan 1905 at Sharps Chapel, Union, Tennessee. He died  23 Oct 1988 at age 83 in Kokomo, Howard, Indiana. He is buried at Galveston Cemetery, Cass County, Indiana.
