On 2 March 1956, at age 16, she married Marvin Ernest Canfield, at age 21, in Prairie Village, Johnson, Kansas. He is the son of Merle Elvin Canfield and Sadie Venita Ewalt. He was born 10 April 1934 in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas. He had previously been married to Marietta Smith. He died 13 August 2007 at age 73 in Wichita, Sedgwick, Kansas. He was buried 20 August 2007 at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, Butler, Kansas.
