Marion Lowell Butler is the son of Lowell Rich Butler and Etta Hendrickson. He was born 22 Oct 1935 in Blandinsville, McDonough, Illinois. He died 2 May 1997 at about age 61 in Burlington, Des Moines, Iowa. He was buried at Glade City Cemetery.

On 23 Oct 1960, he married Dolores Van Arsdale in Raritan, Henderson, Illinois.
