On 29 Dec 1886, he married Allie McDermitt in McDonough County, Illinois. She is the daughter of Francis Marion McDermitt and Nancy Wood. She was born 9 May 1868 in Illinois. She died 12 April 1953 at age 84 in Hiawatha, Brown, Kansas. She is buried at Hiawatha Cemetery, Hiawatha, Brown, Kansas.

  1. Ross McGee was born 7 or 29 Oct 1887 in Hiawatha, Brown, Kansas. He died 16 October 1918  -- just 2 weeks short of his 31st birthday, or just a week after it -- very shortly after arriving at Camp Meade, Maryland. He died of influenza. He is buried at Hiawatha Cemetery, Hiawatha, Brown, Kansas.
  2. Erma McGee was born 12 March 1891 in Kansas.
  3. Lula McGee was born 23 September 1900 in Kansas. She died in November 1984 at age 84 in Hiawatha, Brown, Kansas.
    • She married Ralph LeRoy Sim. He is the son of Charles A. Sim and Julia. He was born 19 November 1891 in Nebraska City, Otoe, Nebraska. He died in September 1978 at age 86 in Hiawatha, Brown, Kansas.
