Daniel Lee Coats is the son of Forest Omal Coats and Alberta Inez Murphy. He was born 24 April 1936. He died 30 August 2010 at age 74 in Columbus, Fairfield, Ohio.

He married Mary.

  Daniel Lee Coats, 74, of Columbus, OH, passed away August 30, 2010 at Mt. Carmel West Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Mary; daughters, Kallie (Tony) Duerst and Lisa Coats; son, Bryon; step-sons, Jeff and Joseph Archer; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as best friend, Chuck. Dan served in the Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He will be remembered most for his great sense of humor and love for his grandchildren, family and friends. There will be a private celebration of his life for family and friends.
