Sarah Jane Cassingham was born 20 Aug 1831 in Ohio. She is the daughter of Richard Cassingham and Margaret Morrison. She died 14 Feb 1894 at the age of 62 in Blandinsville, McDonough, Illinois. She was buried 17 February 1894 in La Harpe Cemetery, La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois.

On 3 May 1857, at age 25, she married Joshua McGee, who was also age 25, in Hancock County, Illinois. He is the son of James McGee and Honor Dorsey. He was born 20 Jul 1831 (exactly one month before Sarah) in Muskingum, Muskingum, Ohio. He died 13 Dec 1876 at age 45 and is buried at La Harpe Cemetery, La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois.
