William Alden Cassingham (Sr.) is the son of George Cassingham and Mary Estelle Stone. He was born 12 Oct 1899 in La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois and died in Oct 1986 at about age 87 in Oak  Lawn, Cook, Illinois.

On 23 Nov 1927, he married Jessie Jo Kinman in La Harpe, Hancock, Illinois. She is the daughter of Nicholas B. Kinman and Minnie May Newman. She was born 3 Mar 1905 in Mt. Sterling, Brown, Illinois and died 19 Jul 1995 at age 90 in Porter, Cass, Michigan. She is buried at Willow Hills Cemetery, Willow Springs, Cook, Illinois.
