WILLOW BROOK LADY EXPIRES EXACTLY 12 HOURS AFTER HER FATAL ACCIDENT

Mrs. Richard Wills died at her home at Willow Brook at 6:45 o'clock Saturday evening as the result of her terrible burns which she suffered by the explosion of an oil lamp almost exactly 12 hours before.

With the exception of her feet, the entire body of Mrs. Wills was burned to a crisp and the flesh all over her body was seared in a frightful manner. Her clothes were all burned off.

The little 12 year old son who was in the adjoining room when the awful accident occurred saw his mother enveloped in flames when she rushed into the sitting room from the kitchen. He ran toward her but in her frenzied condition, she became almost wild and ran toward him.

He was compelled to escape to save his own life. As it was, he was slightly burned and his hair was singed by coming in contact with his mother.

Mrs. Wills was 49 years old and besides her husband, is survived by 5 sons and 2 daughters. She also leaves 3 brothers who reside in Zanesville. She was formerly Miss Maggie Adams of Muskingum County and has always been noted for her kindly disposition and estimable character.

A large circle of friends mourn her sad death.

Mrs. Wills Dead at Her Home in Willow Brook: Community Saddened by Her Most Deplorable Death

Mrs. Richard Wills, who was fatally burned by the explosion of an oil lamp in her home at Willow Brook Saturday morning, died as a result of her injuries at 7 o'clock Saturday evening after suffering horrible agony. The entire community is filled with gloom following the result of the terrible accident which deprived one home of a loving wife and mother and the community of a member well thought of by all.

Deceased is survived by a husband, five sons and two daughters as follows, all of whom reside in the Conesville and Willow Brook vicinity: Mrs. Frank Holdsworth, Mrs. Ward Senter, Howard, Pearl, Douglas, Corbit and Orville. Her age was about 48 years.
