INA CASSINGHAM, OF LAHARPE, DIES Mrs. Ina Clarinda (Goff) Cassingham, 75, wife of Charles Cassingham of LaHarpe, died suddenly of a heart attack at her home at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. She was sitting in a chair talking with her daughter, Mrs. Estella Dobbs, of Mendon, who was visiting her, when she had the attack and passed away. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at the Christian church in LaHarpe, Rev. H.W. Fisher, pastor of the LaHarpe Methodist church will officiate and burial will be at the LaHarpe Cemetery. Mrs. Cassingham's son Lloyd Snyder, died last Feb.12 at her home. He had been cared for through a long illness by his mother and his stepfather. Mrs. Cassingham was a daughter of Joseph Newton and Priscilla (Dark) Goff and was born June 8, 1872. She was married to Joseph Snyder and they had three children: Lloyd and Lee Snyder, both deceased; and Mrs. Estella Dobbs of Mendon. Mr. Snyder has been dead for many years. His widow was married on Jan.29,1939, to Charles Cassingham, who survives. In addition to the daughter and husband, she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Mary Caldwell of Augusta, Mrs. Mrytle Caldwell of Burnside, and one brother, Samuel Goff of LaHarpe. Two brothers and a sister predeceased her, Mrs. Cassingham was an active member of the Christian church and the LaHarpe chapter of the American Red Cross. |
