1994, p. D8] Thomas Teesdale Sr. NIOTA -- Thomas E. Teesdale Sr., 76 or rural Niota died at 3:48 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 1994, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb. Born June 13, 1918, in Colusa to Hugh T. and Cressie Lincoln Teesdale, he married Norma Duhs on Nov. 29, 1947, in Peoria. She survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Bessie Graber and Mrs. Walter (Gertrude) Eisele, both of Peoria; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Cathy) Smith of Omaha, Neb.; one son, Thomas E. Jr. of West Branch, Iowa; one brother, H. Robert of Colusa; and six grandchildren. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was a farmer and served as a Hancock County sheriff's deputy for four years. He was clerk of Pontoosuc Township for many years. He also owned and operated the Green Hat Book Store at his home. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Myers Cemetery near Dallas City. Ronald Leonard will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe. Memorials may be made to any charity. |
