Iver Hutchinson

ARKANSAS CITY - Iver Ray "Bud" Hutchinson, 77, of Arkansas City, died Dec. 21, 1999, at Medicalodge North Post Acute Care Center.

Cremation has been effected. There will be no service.

A memorial has been established with Medicalodge North. Contributions may be made through Hawks Funeral Home.

Hutchinson was born June 1, 1922, in Earlton, to Ivor Rice and Lottie May (Cassingham) Hutchinson. He was raised in the Chanute area.

During World War II and the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army. After his discharge, he moved to Arkansas City.

Hutchinson had been a truck driver and retired from the Arkansas City Street Department.

Survivors include his companion of 18 years, Loretta Blackshere, Arkansas City; a son, Ivor Roy "Butch" Hutchinson, Winfield; three daughters, Dianna Waltz, Chillicothe, Mo., Patty Degario, Chanute, and Judy McGee, Victorville, Calif.; a brother, Max Lamonti Hutchinson, Wichita; two sisters, Marion Pearl Dickey, Knoxville, Tenn., and Gwendolyn Vea Young, LaLuz, N.M.; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
