Edna Ferguson Expires

Funeral services for Mrs. Edna L. Ferguson 72, Rt. 1, will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home. Pastor Ronald M. Lewellen will officiate. She died Saturday at 10:10 p.m. at the Chase Center. She was born in Peru on November 14, 1906, to Edward and Rosa Wolfe Black. Her first marriage was on Dec. 23, 1926, to Harold Eshelman, who died in 1945. Her second marriage was on Sept. 4, 1966 to George E. Ferguson, who survives. A retired medical assistant, she was a member of the Walton Christian Church. She was a member of the Walton Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and the ladies auxiliary of the Logansport Moose Lodge. Surviving with the husband are three daughters, Thelma Thieme, Fort Wayne, Barbara Oliver, Rochester; and Jody Willhite, Grand Prairie, Tex; a step-daughter, Lucille Lebo, Rt. 6; a step-son, Robert F. Ferguson, Royal Center, two brothers, Paul Black, Anderson; and Howard Black, Peru; four sisters, Ruby Williams, New Waverly; Mabel Heckathorne, Denver; Carrie Sharp, Kokomo; and Ruth Michael, Wabash; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren. A grandchild, a step-grandchild and two brothers preceded her in death. Burial will be in the Ever-rest Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Eastern Star services will be Monday at 8 p.m.
