| [From the Garden City Telegram, Kansas, 13 Mar 2004.] Lois Zimmerman Lois Zimmerman, 61, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at her home in Garden City. She was born Nov. 21, 1942, at Dobson, Texas, to Wilbur and Mable Cassingham Friend. A Garden City resident since 1997, moving from Thornton, Colo., she was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic faith. On Nov. 3, 1962, she married Ronald J. Zimmerman at Denver. He died Dec. 20, 1997, at Thornton. She also was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. Survivors include three sons, Preston A. Zimmerman of Thornton, Ronald J. Zimmerman of Commerce City, Colo., and Robert A. Zimmerman of California; a daughter, Cheryl A. Zimmerman of Denver; three brothers, Gerald O. Friend of Garden City, Preston L. Friend of Atlantic Beach, Fla., and W. Royce Friend of California; and 10 grandchildren. Services are planned for later in Denver. There will be no local visitation.
