Thomas Coombs Thomas Richard Coombs, 85, 1100 Myers Road, Apt. 6, Celina, died at 5:02 p.m. March 1, 2002, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys. He was born Feb. 8, 1917, in Greenville, to George F. and Edith (Hickcox) Coombs. On Oct. 18, 1993, he married Betty L. Coats Joseph and she survives. Also surviving are a son and his wife, Larry and Mary of Frankfort, Mich., and a son, Raymond of Coldwater; a daughter and her husband, Brenda and Dan DeCerbo, Brookville, and two daughters, Irene Coombs, Celina and Jackie Israel, Washington; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Thomas R. Jr., and a sister, Helen Zurwell. He retired from Pax Steel Products, Coldwater, and attended Grace Missionary Church, Celina. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons Funeral Home, Celina, the Rev. Steve Howell officiating. Burial will be at Abbottsville Cemetery, Arcanum. Calling is 9-10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. |
