Thomas R. Smith Obituary

Thomas, 41, died at 8:30 p.m., at Gibbons Hospital were he had been a patient for one week. Death was due to complications following surgery.

He was born to Edgar and Matilda (Bauer) Smith.

He married twice. He first married Doris E. Coats, who survives in Celina, and then Jacqueline Burden, who survives with four sons, Richard, Randall, Robert and Eric; two daughters, Lisa and Stacey Jo; and two stepdaughters, Elaine and Carol Elking, all at home; a brother, Jerry, Greenwood, IN; and a sister, Mrs. Ralph (Donna) Winn, Bizmark, ND.

He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Celina Masonic and Moose lodges, and was employed by CPS Co. of Berne, IN.

Services were at St. John's Lutheran Church, with Rev. Benson Bartell officiating.
