Joyce, 74, 627 S. Harrison, Van Wert, died at 2:20 a.m., at the Celina Manor Nursing Home of natural causes. She was a daughter of Howard and Mildred (Roberts) Coats. On Aug 4, 1950, she married Charles E. Ward Jr "Red," he preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons, Charles "Bill" (Teena), St. Marys, Carl (Beverly), Piqua, Tim Ward, Mendon; four daughters, Vickie (Gary) Gossard and Veronica (Jerry) Burk, all Wabash, Karla (Roger) Endicott, Van Wert, and Kathleen (Tony) Black, Ohio City; four brothers, Paul (Vivan) and Jim (Bonnie), all Celina, Dallas, Tama, and Howard (Joan), Sebring, FL; two sisters, Betty Coombs, Celina, Barbara (Bill) Doty, Wapakoneta; a sister-in-law, Barb Coats, St. Marys; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son; two brothers, Don and Irvin Coats; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Coats; a grandchildren; a great-grandchild. She retired from Celina City Schools in 1996 and she was a member of Celina Eagles Auxiliary 1291. Funeral services will be held at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with the Rev. Thomas Christen officiating. |
