Louise V. Wertenberger CONVOY, Ohio - Louise V. Wertenberger, 80, of Convoy, died at 7:55 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert, Ohio. She was born Sept. 26, 1928, in Mercer County, Ohio, to the late Mabel (Coats) Schwarck and Alva Schwarck. She married Robert Wertenberger. He survives in Convoy. Other survivors include two sons, Tim Wertenberger of Convoy and Tony Wertenberger of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Anne Stewart of Desert Springs, Calif.; two brothers, Billy Schwarck of Spencerville, Ohio, and Joe (Laura) Schwarck of Mesa, Ariz.; two sisters, Jean Carrier of New Haven, Ind., and Margaret Patterson of Waco, Texas; six grandchildren, Matthew Stewart, Kory Stewart, Bryce Stewart, Sarah Sease, Eliza Wertenberger, Ryan Wertenberger, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and John Schwarck, and three sisters, Anna McCollum, Leona McCollum and Virginia Schwarck. She was a retired teacher from the Crestview School District, Convoy, and a member of Convoy United Methodist Church, Convoy. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at Convoy United Methodist Church, Convoy. The Rev. Greg Leigh will officiate. Burial will be in Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Convoy. Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home, Convoy, and 10 a.m. to service time Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at Convoy United Methodist Church, Convoy.
