William Henry Carlock is the son of Emma Calista Cummings and William Ervin Carlock. He was born 7 Feb 1872 in Sacramento, Sacramento, California. He died 7 Sep 1930 at age 58 in Flippin, Marion, Arkansas and was buried there 8 Sep 1930.

On 1 May 1907, he married Edith Gertrude Spear in Yellville, Marion, Arkansas. She is the daughter of James Truman Spear and Mrs. Martha Melvina Huddleston. Edith was born 15 Oct 1889 in Dora (or Bird Springs), Ozark, Missouri and died 7 Oct 1925 -- just short of her 36th birthday -- in Clawson, Emery, Utah. She was buried 10 Oct 1925 at the City Cemetery, Ferron, Emery, Utah.
