Emma (or Emily) Calista Cummings is the daughter of Gilbert H. Cummings and Charity Jane Barzee. She was born 6 Sep 1851 in Galena, Jo Daviess, Illinois. She died 26 Aug 1930 at age 78 at the Stockton State Hospital for the Insane, Stockton, San Joaquin, California where she was a patient.

She married William Ervin Carlock. He is the son of George Maklin Carlock and Florence Margaret Rohr. William was born 3 Dec 1842 somewhere in western Illinois and died 14 Oct 1912 at age 69 in Ashland, Jackson, Oregon. He was buried 15 Oct 1912 in Jacksonville, Jackson, Oregon. This marriage apparently ended in divorce before 1900.

3. Gilbert Robb Carlock was born 21 May 1879 in Jefferson, Marion, Oregon. He died 31 May 1947 at age 67 in Los Angeles County, California.
   • About 1923, he married (1) Florence P. Meyes in Oregon. She was born 25 May 1880 in Omaha, Douglas, Nebraska.
   • About 1940, he married (2) Tasile Croteau Todd Carter. She is the daughter of Sydney J. Carter and Harriet Todd. She was born 27 Nov 1915 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She died 2 Jul 1994 at age 78 in Orange County, California.
   • About 1946, he married (3) Dolores V. (unknown). She was born 6 Jun 1907 in Illinois. She died 6 Mar 1966 at age 58 in Los Angeles County, California.

There is a marriage record that claims Emma married one John W. Cox 9 July 1898 in Morrow county, OR. But I have not found any substantiation of this.
