David Harvey Cummings is the son of James Harvey Cummings and Mary A. Lanfear. Known sometimes as David and other times as Harvey, he was born in Jan 1855 in California. He died 26 Jan 1935 at age 80 in Marion County, Oregon.

About 1878, he married Caroline. Carrie, as she was known, was born in Apr 1859 in California. She died 31 Mar 1949 at age 89 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon. She had no children of her own.
