Frank E. Howard is the son of Emma Vermilyer and Eugene Howard. He was born 4 Apr 1865 or Mar 1866 in Illinois. He died 17 Jul 1928 in an automobile accident in Joliet, Will, Illinois, at age 62 or 63.
On 21 Feb 1889, he married Lulu Glen Farwell in Whiteside County, Illinois. She is the daughter of Solomon Farwell and Margaret Plank. She was born 30 May 1866 in Union Grove, Whiteside, Illinois. She died 1 Jun 1930 at age 64 in Joliet, Will, Illinois.

In the 1900 census, Lulu indicates that she has given birth to 2 children, only 1 of whom (May) was still living. By the 1910 census, she indicates having given birth to 3 children, with only May still living. Thus, presumably, either Bonnie or Betty was born and died between 1890 and 1900, while the other was born and died between 1900 and 1910.
