Stanley Pillatsch Stanley John Pillatsch, 92, a long time resident of Montgomery passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009 at Provena Fox Knoll in Aurora. Stan was born on July 30, 1916 in Aurora; a son of John and Katherine (Molitor) Pillatsch. He was a graduate of East High School, Class of 1935. Stan retired from All Steel in 1980 after 43 years of service, with many of those years in management. Prior to retiring he was a sponsor in Junior Achievement, and after his retirement he was an active member of SCORE (Service Corp of Retired Executives) for 20 years. He served as a trustee for the Village of Montgomery and served as secretary of the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Fire Protection District for 18 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel, where he served many years as an usher. Stan was a life member of the NRA, past President of the Blackhawk Rifle Club, a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge, and a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was a member and served on the Board of Directors of the Golden K Kiwanis. Stan enjoyed bowling, golf and riding his bicycle until the fall of 2008. One of his favorite pastimes was driving his favorite car, a 1979 red Triumph Spitfire Roadster. Family members include his son, Craig (JoAnn) Pillatsch of Carterville, IL; his daughters, Jeanne (Ric) Hood of Orifino, Idaho, Joan (Joe) Burke of Batavia, Ellen (Jim) Mayoral of Tempe, AZ, Anne (Joe) Schmitz of Lake in the Hills, IL and Beth Caldwell of Palatine; he is also survived by his grandchildren, Teresa (Rob) Cannon of Vista, CA, Lisa (Todd) Derickson of Wildwood, MO, Trent (Jamie) Klebe of Frankenmuth, MI, Renee (Francis) Leisure of St. Louis, MO, Bryan (Jamie) Wolfe of Bloomington, IL, Adam (Pam) Wolfe of St. Charles, IL, Tim (Jen) Wolfe of Aurora; several great-grandchildren; his brother, Arnold (Eileen) Pillatsch of Jefferson City, MO; a sister-in-law, Dolores Pillatsch of Aurora; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Loretta (Howard); and his second wife, Margaret (Hill); his best friend of many years, Lois Greenberg; a brother, Maurice Pillatsch; his sisters, Mercedes Perle, Florence McCurdy and Shirley Ulbrich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM, on Monday, March 2, 2009 at Our Lady of Good Counsel in Aurora. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The family will greet guests on Sunday, from 4:00 until 8:00PM, at Dieterle Memorial Home in Montgomery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Golden K Kiwanis Club in Aurora.
