Erma Evaline (Blalack) Hams Erma Evaline (Blalack) Hams of Prineville died Wednesday. She was 71. No services will be held . Mrs. Hams was born Feb. 21, 1932, in Clebit, Okla., to William and Pearly (Medford) Blalack. She moved to Mitchell in 1943 and later to Prineville. In 1974 she moved Heppner, returning to Prineville in 1994. Mrs. Hams owned and operated a cattle and wheat ranch in Heppner for 21 years. She also worked at The Pioneer Club and Pastime in Prineville. She retired in 1994. Mrs. Hams was a past member of the The Vets Club and Eagles in Prineville. Her hobbies included fishing, singing, doing crossword puzzles and going to yard sales. She also enjoyed her family, friends, cats and dogs. Survivors include her son Garth Risland of Prineville; three daughters, Winema 'Wendy' Davis-Adams of La Pine, Sara Keys of Corvallis and Ronda Rogers of Columbus, Kan.; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darold, a son, her parents, a grandchild and two sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Pioneer Memorial Hospice, 1201 NE Elm St., Prineville 97754.
