Emily Edwards is the daughter of Ebenezer Edwards and Elizabeth A. Daniels. She was born 18 Mar 1854 in Johnson county, Iowa. She died 9 Dec 1888 at age 34 in Crawford county, Kansas. She is buried at Girard, Crawford, Kansas. Between 1870 and 1880, she married Crawford Asa Perry. He is the son of Giles Perry and Hannah Marie Witherell. Crawford's sister, Sarah Rose, married Emily's brother, John Austin Edwards. Crawford was born 4 May 1850 in Clay county, Illinois. He died 28 Sep 1899 at age 49 in McCune, Crawford, Kansas. He is buried at Girard, Crawford, Kansas.

NotesAlice: Alice only appears in the 1880 census, where she is clearly listed as a female born in April 1880. By the 1885 Kansas census, she is no longer listed but there is a Bertie -- a male, age 4. Since the 1885 census was to be taken as of 1 Mar 1885, a child of age 4 would have been born between Mar 1880 and February 1881. Alice, born in April, fits in that range. But so does Bert who was born in May 1880. The easiest conclusion is that the 1880 entry for Alice is completely wrong and really refers to Bert.
