He was born 6 September 1867 in Missouri.
- About 1890, he married Nellie J. Ferrell.
She is the daughter of Charles Ferrell and Elizabeth A. Hudson.
She was born in December 1869 in Iowa. She died 7 October 1941 at age 71.

- Lester J. Sheldon was born 23 September 1891 in St Francis, Cheyenne, Kansas.

In both the 1900 and 1910 censuses, Nellie reports that she has given
birth to 3 children, 2 of whom are still living. We have no information on
the third child.
