About 1909, he married Gertrude Bell Ashburn in Kelso, Morris, Kansas. She is the daughter of Edgar Sherman Ashburn and Josephine Bell. She was born 21 Feb 1889 in Umber, Cedar, Missouri. She died 31 Mar 1956 at age 67 in Lawndale, Los Angeles, California.
