  • After Velma's death, on 13 May 1978, at age 69, he married Velma's older sister, Myrtle I. Charles, who had recently been widowed from Alphonso Boucher. She was 75 years old. She is also the daughter of Rolla Charles and Pearl Jane Brant. She was born 24 February 1903 in Kansas. She died in August 1987 at age 84 in Morland, Graham, Kansas. She is buried at Hill City Cemetery, Hill City, Graham, Kansas.
