Albert Edwards is the son of Starling Edwards and Phoebe. He was born in Oct 1838 in Licking County, Ohio. He died 10 December 1907 at age 69 in Marshall County, Iowa. He is buried at Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown, Marshall, Iowa.

On the day after Christmas, 26 Dec 1866, he married Melissa Matilda Clark. She is the daughter of Gabriel C. Clark and Phoebe Ann Rogers. She was born 6 August 1851 in Ohio. She died 7 December 1932 at age 81.
