• In February 1942, he married Kathleen H. Shore in Berkeley, Alameda, California. Kay, as she is known, is the daughter of Charles Shore and Elizabeth. She was born 5 December 1917 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. She died in November 1977 at age 59 in Napa county, California. 
• On 11 Mar 1978, he married Lillian D. Wheelock in Napa county, California. She was born in 1936.
