Leonard Elsworth Cupples is the
son of Bertha Iona Clymer and William Albert Cupples.
He was born 20 October 1918 in Hancock county, Ohio. He died 8 September 1985 at age 66 in Dayton, Montgomery, Ohio.
- He married Waunetta R. Bronson.
Peggy, as she is known, is the daughter of Frederick Otto Bronson and Esma Ruth Burkholder. She
was born 26 July 1920 in Bluffton, Allen, Ohio. She died 7 May 1974 at age
53 in Tucson, Pima, Arizona. She is buried at Huntsville, Madison, Arkansas.
- In 1978, he married Ruby Darline Chidester in Mesa, Maricopa, Arizona.
Darline, as she is known, is the daughter of Ancil Tecumseh Chidester and Rose Mae Poston. She
was born 21 November 1917 in Monroe, Benton, Iowa. She died 22 February 2007 at age
89 in Concord, Contra Costa, California.

Notes
The Cupples family had a harrowing experience on the high seas during
WWII when the ship they were on was sunk. It was reported in "Torpedoed
